drivers door lock

my drivers side door willnot unlock ... the only time it will unlock is when i open the door from the inside..when i press the unlock buttom the little knob does not come up and the door will not unlock so when i lock my car i cant get in the drivers door from the outside... can anyone help me?

Its probably a bad lock actuator inside the door, take off the door panel and check to see if the actuator connector has come loose or if any of the rods for the door assembly are loose.
