1998 sport 4x4,
Hi people, I have a 1998 explorer sport 4x4. 4" super lift with 33x12.5 B.F.G's. I have a drivers window problem. It would not go down one day using the down switch. When I hit the up part of the switch it was going down but jumpy. When it got all the way down it will not go up. I had to jump the motor to get it up. All other switches on the drivers door work fine. Passenger window, door locks, power mirrors. Any help?

Power window inop

Thank you everyone for the responce to my problem. I was reading different peoples problems and I found that it was a broken wire between the door and frame. This sight is fantastic. I have already told 12 poeple about it. Im hooked and will continue to help others. My 1998 4x4 explorer with 4" super lift and 33x12.5 BFG's thanks you. I just gave this truck to my 16 year old son.

Rain gets in the drivers window and messes up the switch many times.

The answer; First know its the switch with volt meter. If bad Then replace with new one, not junk yard one (tedious wiring).

There may be someone here who knows how to rebuild an existing unit. That would be too cool.
