Drivers side front wheel locks up in reverse

I have an AWD 1998 Ford Explorer, drives forward fine. When put into reverse the drivers side front wheel will lock up, put back into drive it free's itself. Could this be caused by a vacuum line with it being an AWD?? What can cause this problem?
