Hey everyone,
Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this, but I'm looking for help with my '03 Limited. I got it back from a tire shop today to discover my driver's side power seat was stuck. Unfortunately, because I had the auto seat retract feature on, it got locked as far back as the seat will go. It moves up and down but the horizontal movement does not work. The motor is active, and the adjuster screw on the side closest to the door still works. The adjuster screw closest to the center console doesn't move at all.
It's obvious to me that something is broken or jammed up into the track, but I couldn't really see anything. I went to take the seat out but I discovered that there is one bolt this is simply impossible to remove with the seat all the way back. I tried manually twisting the screw with channel locks but it didn't budge. Seriously, who designed this thing with no way to manually move it??? I hoping someone here might have ideas on what I could remove to get the stupid seat out so I can replace whatever is broken. I seem to be the only one unfortunate enough to have the seat fail in a position that makes it impossible to remove via the four 15mm bolts. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Dylan
