Driver's window is stuck all the way down

My driver's side window is stuck all the way down. I took off the door panel and tried to push it up, nothing happened. I figure it's the window motor, but how can I get it back up untill I can replace the motor?

How much do you think it'd cost if I just took it to a mechanic?

The only way I know of to get it up is to drill the rivets out of the regulator, pull it up and jam it up with something.
If you're gonna go to all that work, might as well just fix it in the process.
