Drop pitman arm or custom reinfocrced?

Should I just buy a drop pitman arm or would I be able to put a DOM sleeve on the arm between the drag link and arm and weld up a triangular reinforcement? Would it be as strong?

See pic it has a short one for getting it out of the garage, could I put a longer one on there and reinfoce it?

Any negative performance aspects to that?

that would proly still leave quite an angle on my track bar makeing the axle shift a lot during flex...

Maybe I will just go with drop pitman arm?
