jcuz- love how it looks..would be pretty sick if i could do a right hand drive swap lol..

jluv- in those pics you have the belltech kit only? Thats the stance i'm looking for, but the only kit i find for my truck (4wd) is the ground force and its only 1.5" which is nothing.
Not sure if the belltech works for the 4wds

Yep, just the Belltechs. It didn't sit that low when I first put them on, but it has hunkered down over time. Also, my truck is weighted down quite a bit with a lot of Dynamat and a very heavy system. But without a doubt, the Belltechs will sit lower than the Groundforce springs. I am 99.9% sure they will work fine with your 4wd, but to be sure, call Belltech and ask them.

Just FYI, if you go that low get ready for a very harsh ride and serious camber issues. To me, it's worth it. To some, it's not.

Cool! i think my 2 15" L7s will lower the back a bit more lol

Yea i don't care about the "harsh" ride or the camber issues..i had a chevy trailblazer and dropped it 3/4  loved how it drove was on 20s so ride was not that bad since i had some more sidewall but idk! lol
I'll deff call belltech and make sure

I've been looking to do the same and from what I've found, the belltech kit drops it 2" all around... Ground force is 1.6" front and rear, and the Eibach kit does 1.5" front, and 1" rear.
I use to drive a 96' Impala SS, and I had the Eibach kit on there. Those springs suck to put it honestly, the ride is harsh and stiff as can be. Performance wise there great as I could take on ramps at like twice my normal speed, but the everyday driving killed any perks. Anyone that has every owned a car with Eibachs will tell you the same.
I also have a complete Belltech kit that I installed on my ole mans yard truck, 5.9L S/C Dakota, and the ride is absolutely ridiculous. It's a drastic drop though, probably 3"-4" and looks great, but the bounce will rattle your teeth. I had to put bags in the back because the shocks would constantly bottom out.
On my Ex I'm most likely going to go with the Groundforce kit. From what I've heard it has the best ride and the drop is just enough not to throw everything out of wack. I'm not going to put rims though, it's gonna ride on the stockers with wider tires and a 70 not a 75 height. Rims are a waste of money to me, I'm looking to build a sleeper for the streets and track. My money is going into engine mods. Going with the shorter tire and the groundforce, I'm looking at probably a 1.75"-2" overall drop. And if you are interested in buying a set, I found them for $219 SHIPPED. Can't beat that.
And just my $.02, but I would NEVER go with cut or reworked springs. Ride quality is never improved, I'm just not buying that.

i dropped my explorer back in 03 with some ground forces. 1.6 back and front. 265/35 22 tire.. i was expecting a closer drop to the tire maybe about an inch more. is there anything i can do to get that extra inch? a cut perhaps?

Where are the pics??????? We want to see pics!!!

I had the Eibach Pro Kit on my old '98 Mustang GT and it wasn't bad at all. The ride is much worse in my X now, and even then it's still tolerable (to me).

The KEY word there or words, are "to me"..... I didn't say the ride wasn't tolerable, I just said that it was stiff and harsh, which unarguably the Eibach's make it.. They are 100% performance minded, in that they stiffen up the ride to reduce body roll and improve handling. Anytime you defeat the purpose of the suspension, (dampening), it has a negative effect on ride quality. Eibachs are one of the stiffest rides out there.. it's all about personal preference and what you're trying to accomplish.

My buddy had an old skool Lincoln towncar slammed on 14" Daytons, this was before air bagging and he just heated the springs and let the cars weight drop it to the desired height. He will tell you to this day that the ride was "tolerable", but to anybody else it was like an amusement park ride.

No doubt it makes the ride stiffer. In a sports car, I don't view that as a bad thing. I was just addressing your statement of "...but the everyday driving killed any perks. Anyone that has ever owned a car with Eibachs will tell you the same."

If I ever bought another sports car, Eibachs would likely be my one of my very first mods again. On an SUV, going lower with any spring kills ride quality, and it's more dramatic to deal with since one expectation of a modern SUV is to have a decent ride. What I'm saying is that I didn't consider the ride quality a sacrifice with Eibachs in the Mustang. To me, the ride quality was improved. It drove less like a boat and more like it was on rails, and it wasn't nearly as rough as what my ride is now in the X.

I agree wholeheartedly that it's a bad decision to cut springs or heat them up to lower a vehicle. That's the "ghetto" way to do things.

get spring locks from pep boys. It says it can expand or compress your spring up to 2"

I remember getting a set to stiffen my springs, i think they run @ about $15 or $20
