Help needed with Code P0761
I have a 1996 Explorer XLT 2WD with 4.0 V6, 4R55E transmission, 230K miles, trans rebuilt 2 years ago. Light on and Code P0761 (Shift solenoid C performance or stuck off) is the only code found. Solenoid C replaced and code returned. If code cleared, sometimes returns quickly and sometimes takes up to an hour of driving (city and highway combination) before the code returns. I have not yet been able to schedule diagnostics at a Ford dealer. Until then, does anyone have a suggestion?
I'm new to this forum and would appreciate any help available.
