Hey guys,
I know this topics has been discussed before and I swear I did use the search to find some answers but didnt. So I am hoping you all can help out on this topic. I am trying to go with dual batteries in my X since it has happened before that I killed my batterie just by leaving the head lights on for about 15 mins. I know there might be a whole seperate issue with that but I figured going with dual batteries will fix that problem a bit faster than taking the whole charging system apart and diagnose it.
Anyways, my X is in Germany right now and I want to get a batterie isolator from the US since they are ridiculous expensive over here in Germany and most of them here have some kind of D+ connector which I dont know m X has.
First of all, does anybody know how many ampere my stock alternator is putting out? Is it 90 or even more? Does it matter that I have a Eddie Bauer?
If lets say my stock alternator is putting out 90 ampere, would I need to get a batterie isolator rated for 90 ampere or get one rated higher?
Thank you for any help.
Take care.
