Sorry guys, I serched and found nuttin, so here goes. I have a 5.0 '98 'Sploder, 2wd, put on a replacement K&N, opened up the airbox, and installed a Spintech muff., with 2.5" muff. back pipe. Love it so far, just one thing. When I am cruiseing on the fwy, 65mph, and roll on the throttle, on a slight incline, the check engine light goes on, flashing, like something is wrong. Also have 30" Kumho's ms. If I take off the OD, the light goes out. I checked the codes and there are none. It is not enough throttle to kick down the tranny. By the way, the tach says about 2100 when I roll on the throttle. I am not sure which way to go with this, programmer, headers, leave it alone. Or is there a sensor going out, or which one to check. Thanks. I know you peeps will help me out.

When you did the intake and exhaust, did you delete the cats or are they still there?

I left all 4 cats on. I think I found the problem, tho. I did what the light said, and checked the engine. When I was checking the plug wires, one fell off in my hand. I put it back on, and the light has not come on since. I think that was it. I had to do a repair on the ex. mans. a while back, and I think maybe it worked loose. Rough dirt roads do that, I think. Thanks for the interest. Cheers.

Cool, it sure feels good to find that the fault is a simple non-cost repair.
