Hello-

This is kind of a dumb question but I was wondering if when installing a cd changer into my car, can I just unplug the fuse for the stereo in my fuse box if I can't get my negative connection on my battery off?

I tried disconnecting the neg. clamp but it seems like I am just stripping the bolt and I really want to hook up my changer soon.

Any comments or suggestions?

I have done four stereo installs and I never disconnect the battery. I just pull the stereo fuse or fuses. Be sure to hook it to the 12v constant for the radio not the Acc. circuit! :) I did that on my first install!

You can get the 12 v neg from almost any body/frame metal location.

I think he was just following the directions. Everything always says disconnect the neg. terminal from the battery.

Hey, I got two explorers over there <<<<<

Remember, not all members of the boards are male.

Just pull the fuse and you should be good to go!
Good luck Maria!
