I recently bout four Dunlop Radial Mud Rover M/Ts off of craigslist for a decent price. I was skeptical about buying used tires let alone off of craigslist. The ad stated tires had little over half tread left. I went out and took a look at them and fell in love with them. The look was aggressive which I was going for. Even though they are 31X10.50R15LT.
I put them on right after I put on my warrior shackles. That was Tuesday before Thanksgiving. That was a long day. Since then I could only try them out in the mud once, and that was on Thanksgiving day. There was a little bit of mud in my pasture on the path out to our shooting range. They preformed well, but I really wanted to try em out. If ya get what I mean
.
Well Kansas City hasn't had much rain in the past few weeks and tonight its raining!! I read reviews on the tires and most people liked how they handled in the rain and even snow. It's supposed to snow tomorrow but I doubt we will get enough to have to plow through. But anyways i went out and did my own little test (of course no one else was on the road when this happend) to see how well they preform. Let me just say I am very pleased and plan to spend the money when time comes to get new tires to get these tires again.
There were also a few mud spots on the gravel roads I live off of and of course I had to play around. Even amongst the rain these tires still fling mud like crazy. I too am very pleased with how they preformed in the mud. My review for snow will just have to wait till it actually snows enough to be worthy of having fun in.
They do have a nice hum to them that is loud on the outside but not on the inside of the cab. Don't get me wrong its still noticeable but not over bearing. Plus at about 45-55mph the deer hate the sound of the tires.
