I'm planning on putting 2 headrest monitors in my 02 EB Explorer pretty soon and need to know a few things. First of all, both have built in DVD players and I want them both to be able to view what's playing in one another incase my kids want to watch the same movie. My question is how do you hook them up to do that and I'd like them to be able to be able to view what movie I have playing up front on the head unit as well.
For the 2 back monitors to view what the other has... Take monitor 1 RCA video IN and connect to monitor 2 RCA video OUT and take monitor 2 RCA video IN and connect it to monitor 1's RCA video OUT, but how do I get them to play movies that I'm viewing from up front on the head unit?
Thanks

Headunit Out to Input of Monitor 1. Output of Monitor 1 to Input of Monitor 2.

Monitor 2 will only be able to view Monitor 1, NOT vice versa.
It's overly complicated to get them to be able to work vice versa. You'll need a Composite switch.. Not worth it in my opinion.

I guess I could wire the power wires and ground from monitor 2 to monitor 1 and run the power wire to the fuse panel or should I do different? I'll take the power wire from monitor 2 and run it over to the other monitors power wire and splice them together then run it up to the fuse panel under the dash and where should I hook the 2 ground wires? Thanks

You can do that. Should be fine. They can be grounded on the bolt holding the seat in. Any unpainted metal.

I tried running the wires through the seat and I hit a dead end. It seams as it is stitched across the middle or something to where my hand can't go to top of seat from the bottom opening or the wires can't get through. I'm new to this and need to know how to feed the wire through without messing anything up. Thanks

Hmm, you've got to be able to get it up the seat, they're just upholstered..

It's got something else up in there. My hand goes halfway and then there's something there, its double padded or something and I think it comes down and connects to the bottom of the seat.

I also have another problem, in the 2 holes where the headrest goes in has all kinds of foam there to where nothing can get through. What to do?
