E85 in 2002 Explorer Sport Trac

I just filled up my 2002 Sport Trac with E85 Ethanol and after about 10 miles the check engine light came on. Everything is running fine. Any ideas?

Umm, are you sure your truck is rated for E-85? I'm not so sure....

As far as i know, E85 compatibility wasnt available for the Sport Trac until 2004. But I am wrong often

But I guess as long as youve got that FFV badge on your Sport Trac, then you're good to go.

According to my owners manual the vehicle is rated for E85 Flexible Fuel Vehicle (FFV)

Make sure the gas cap is securely tightened. That's the #1 cause of CEL shortly after fillup....
