I know there are a few threads but not seeing any fix other than dealer.
Last year my seat would move all the way forward. I had other issues fixed so had dealer fix it. It worked for about 2 months then back to being smashed against my steering wheel again. So MY fix was just hitting the manual button on side of seat to stop it. But we all know then when getting back in you need to hit your memory selection...every time you get in.
Then out of nowhere it started working again. I didn't knowingly do anything. I never turned off the feature so it wasn't that.
Well a few weeks ago it went out again, smashing me against the steering wheel.
If I take it in they are going to charge me as this is another feature/issue not covered even under top tier extended warranty.
So does anyone have a fix for this that doesn't included dealership?

*It's unfortunate that this is the worst vehicle I have ever purchased. Ive had the transmission already replaced (50k), my back 2 headrests have locked into the upright position and dealer wants $1500 to fix (NOPE!) my SYNC is always freezing up and locking and dealer has done updates but still having issues. My sunroof broke at 15k but they did fix it but I'm almost afraid to use it because I'm now out of warranty for it. And also the mentioned seat issue.

Why didn't you take it back after the dealer supposedly fixed it? They may have checked it out and found the real problem. Does the invoice mention what they did to 'fix' it?
It is the 1st feature I turn OFF when I get a new vehicle so I have no experience with it malfunctioning.

The easy/entry exit goes back to whatever the most previous memory program is. Maybe the memory seat program is too weird?

My seat memory never worked right from day one. It only stores part of the settings. It never bothered me enough to get it fixed under warranty. I'm the only person who drives it so it only becomes a problem when it's in for service and have to readjust my seat when I leave the service lane. I also have my seat all the way back for maximum leg room, as I'm over 6 feet.

This happened to me. Somewhere on this forum I posted what worked to correct it for me. It involved deleting the settings and turning off easy entry in with the settings menu and then starting over. Of course, your mileage may vary...

Appreciate all the feedback!

I'm going to try the fix posted above and see if it works.
I obviously did something that made it work on it's own again but who knows. We're driving computers now.

Ya. Computers programmed by someone who failed to complete their computer science degree program...
