ECM location

Where is the ECM located? Is it inside or outside of the vehicle? Also where does the ECM get its ground? I think I may have a grounding thru the ECM issue and I want to clean up all contact points.

The ECM is located behind the kick panel, in front of the passenger door, below the glove box, to the right of the passengers feet.

There are three grounds to the PCM. If I remember right, one goes the body near the PCM, and two are spliced directly into the negative battery cable.
