They just need to see a lifted Explorer. Seeing how good lifting makes them look changes minds easily. I have only heard that lifting mine made it look a lot better.

I know, that's what I think. That was one of the reasons I wanted to bring my dad to Uwharrie, so I could show him the lifted Exs.

I know this is off topic with the rest of the thread, but just out of curiosity, if I were to say lift the Ex 2 inches or something like that, what else would need changing/upgrading? Wheels/tires. What else? Is that it? Is the list so small that you wouldn't have to correct steering or whatever? Also, how much money do you think a small lift and all its associated accessories would cost? I don't really know anything about lifting trucks, so I was just wondering. Thanks in advance for the answers

BTW, just to reiterate, even though I'm asking questions, the Ex probably still won't be getting any taller soon :(

You wouldn't have to correct anything, but your tires would look kind of small. A set of 31x10.50 would make it look just right, and you wouldn't have to get new wheels or anything.

Really? Cool. I thought it was a much more expensive process than that. Glad to know it won't be too costly. I bet the installation isn't exactly a piece of cake. Hmmm. And I know every tire is different, but just out of curiosity, what would be the average price for a set of 31" tires do you think?

About 100 bucks a piece or so for a set of dunlop mudders.

Ive done a 2 inch lift on an early model. It's pretty simple.

I would like to go on the next trip there if my schedule is right. Make sure you send out the date when decided. Are lockers a must for Uwharrie?

No. The only must is ground clearance.
