egr obd-1 332

well up until now we done good 94 ex sport 196 k 6cyl 4x4 automatic and now a cel ..read by autozone tech 332 ..haines;egr valve opening not detected..i went thru about 11 of the 84 pages on this but lost the threads and couldn't get em back...so whatya all think...??still running but not pretty

surge in power ( on/off) ? ...crappy idle? goes to a low rpm when you start up cold ?

mine were all caused by a bad dpfe unit and a bad iac .buy the new ford dpfe module ( comes with a new connector) it's a plastic unit and not metal.i got one comeing from rockauto in a couple of days ....$92 total with shipping .

hey thanks for gettin back to me i have went thru your thread and that is what got me to post..those are the symptoms it has ..the valve itself looks raggety but i guess if it is'nt plugged it should be ok...one thought i had was that there has been times like after filling up that i smell gas..which others have mentioned..soo i will look for the dpfe and try that first ...now that is called the same on my 94 6cyl..?? thanks again.

well there must be a god that looks over babies fools,drunks and ford owners cause askin is like prayin and i asked and you all showed me ..anyway this happened last week and up north here it is still lousy cold but today the sunshined on me and the engine compartment and the was a hose off and you all can guess the rest...yepper no codes runs nice as it can...yes thanks so much ..just havin someone to ask is all i need..oh yeah prayin don't hurt with a ford.....i may be lookin to part with this rig in a while if i get to head south as soon as we have our week of summer if anybody in the club would be interested...???gotta love you guys
