Hi, I have a 93' XLT and ever since I put gas in it at some place it ahsnt run right since. My friend used the same gas at the same time and he had his Chevy in the shop for almost a week! He need a whole ne fuel system. This happened last summer so its been sitting since. I have been driving a Suburban since and want my Ford back!!

What happened is it started to not go very fast, I used to be able to lay a nice strip with it. Then it just **** the bed and I couldnt get it to do over 30. This summer i started it and the engine wouldnt kick down it is like the gas pedal is throught the floor but its not. i really want this back on the road before winter so if someone could help me it will be very appreciated!!

Thanks-Chris

Brief anecdote: Just ran across another guy with problems with his '91. He says that he drained the gas tank to find that, out of 15 gallons he pulled out, 5 was water (yes, folks that's 1/3 of the liquid in his tank!). I wouldn't expect to see it, but you might pump some of your gas into a jar and see if it's really gasoline. While you're at it, check the other usual fuel delivery things (fuel pressure, pump flow, FPR vacuum line, etc).

yup drain the tank and change the filter and see what happens

must be ARCO AMPM gas? hehe

I bought bad gas from a Husky station and had same kind of problems I did complain to Husky head office they just told me it was my fault I put in regular I should of bought premium. Husky sucks

Thats why my X gets nothin but Mobil 87

ya it is supposed to take 87 the only difference shell v power put aside is the ability to resist explosion/detonation
