I've been looking and looking and can not find anything about how to swap out the clutch fan to an electric. Ive given it alot of thought and I've got a pretty good idea but I was wondering if there was already a kit. Im tired of hearing that damn fan whenever the truck cools off alittle. I have a 91 explorer sport. auto, 4x4, w/ac. I would imagine I would need a relay with two switched inputs, one for the ac turn on, and one for the temp sender unit. Theres nothing wrong with the clutch fan I just want that extra 10 hp and that noise to go away.:exp:

Keep the stock clutch fan if you plan on going off road and using the 4x4 in medium/harsh conditions.

I've ready that some that have swapped to an electric fan, and then taken it off road have experienced overheating problems.

From what I hear, mainly on this forum, electric fans will help those that are strictly on-road vehicles. When you go offroad you're putting more strain on your engine, which is leading to higher temperatures.

Just think about these things.
