So from the beginning. The shift tube (part number 905-102) snapped when I was putting my truck into park a few nights ago, though the truck got stuck in neutral because of the break. I replaced the shift tube, put it back together correctly, but when I hooked the battery back up, I had all kinds of clicking noises. With the key unturned in the ignition, the relay box under the dash, near the gas pedal, was clicking(specifically the one labeled battery saver relay in my manual; clicking stopped when removed). When I turned the key, I got rapid clicking from the fuse box under the hood(specifically the fuel pump relay, and WOT/AC relay; clicking stopped when removed). I noticed if I pressed the brake pedal, the fuses would stop clicking. Also getting some clicking from the Power distribution box. I can't see any torn or punctured or exposed wires around the steering column. So I am at a loss with what's going on. I do get dash lights that come on but they look dim. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's a 1996 Ford explorer 5.0 v8

Sounds like your battery is almost dead. Either a charger or a jump, possibly new battery
