emergency brake assembly

Hey group,
First post, looks like a good forum.
The foot actuated E brake assembly on my 2003 EXP XLT no longer works.
I tried to find a replacement in a junk yard with no luck. I can prolly get it thru
the dealer/stealer for a couple hundred. Short of that where else can I find a replacement. Thx for the help

Can you give us more detail on how it doesn't work?
May just be bad/busted parking brake shoes.

thx for the reply
the shoes are good as is all cabling
when i set the foot actuated e brake it no longer ratchets or holds
i pulled it and a couple springs are broken
it's not easily repaired so I grabbed one off ebay
