Emissions codes P0442, P0456 resets

Hi there I'm a new member so hellow to all. Just failed an emissions test on 2 codes P0442 and P0456. Evap system leaks on my 2001 Ford Ranger 4x4. Have read several post on possible fixes. My question is on how to reset system codes after fixes are made/attempted and any other necessary procedures for code resets.

Any OBD-2 code reader should be able to clear the codes (which usually resets the IM readiness monitors). Then you need to drive it long enough for the IM monitors to be ready, then you can take it back in for the emissions test.

You may want to have a moderator move this to the EEC-V forum, where they will be more familiar with your '01.
