Emissions light on after fixing the feul cap light!

Hi!....I'm just trying to get some answers on why my emissions light came on, after fixing the feul cap light situation!! ANY suggestions?

did the light come on first? and then you fixed the fuel cap? if so then you need to reset the light before the light will turn off.

or disconnect the battery for 15 mins to reset the computer then try again
