Plugs, wires, coil pack:(

97AWD 5.0

My truck started to sputter while at idle and has been hesitating upon take off...my check engine light finally came on and after hooking up the sensor I got a cylinder 3 misfire code. I just recently changed my plugs and wires but decided to change the plug anyway. No change in the symptoms but I reset the computer and waited. The next day the check engine light came back on and gave me the same code, cylinder 3 misfire. I pulled the plug and it had not been firing at all. This led me to changing the coil pack, which I just did a few hrs ago. I again reset the computer and my light has not come back on however, my truck still sputters and shakes at idle just like it would if there was a misfire:( Could a wire really go bad in under 5 months? The picture below is the main vac hose (emissions crap) it had come apart so I temporarily repaired it until my new one arrives. Is this simply a coincidence to the above issues or could this be adding to the problem. I don't think so...but ya'll know better than me.

Thanks...AGAIN!
