Hello All.
I have a 1997 ford explorer xlt 2 wheel drive 5 speed transmission with overdrive. The engine was shot. I am going to need another engine. My question is what are my options as far as engine size and what will work out of other fords. If I went with a v8 wouldnt I have to change the transmission. Also could I use an older car for a donor say early 90's 4.0 and use my intake so I can use my ecm? Thanks for any help.
