I've got an issue, maybe someone can help me narrow down...
When it's below 50 degrees out, and damp out (e.g. rainy, slushy, or snowy) I can be driving along at anywhere from 25-65, and the engine/powertrain will do a hiccup!! The truck lurches as if someone turned the key of for a split-second. and then everything is just fine. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to it, varying the speed or RPMs has no effect on it either. It doesn't cause any of the idiot lights to come on, there is no noticable RPM drop when it occurs, not noticable power loss before or after the hiccup, just a lurch and everything is fine again??!!?? It doesn't do it if it's just cold and dry, or if it's warm and rainy, only when it's cold AND damp out.... No backfire either... no shuddering before or after....
Here is what I've tried to correct it: Trans fluid and filter change, checked for all the loose connectors I could find on the trans, engine, etc (total found: zero!)... I'm absolutely stumped here? I can't duplicate the occurrence right now because it's nowhere near cold enough for it to happen, so I know I'm going to have a problem come winter again...
I'm absolutely stumped on this one....
Anyone else ever had it happen?
