Since I bought the X a few months back I have been looking onto doing the 00m12 parts, it rattles on cold starts and surges on cold mornings, but I haven’t yet, but I got a light the other morning. AutoZone ran the code and said "system running lean" it didn’t say bank x or bank y, just says system lean, could the leaky intake gaskets cause this, and could they also cause the truck to detonate when cold, on cold mornings..

yes they sure will cause a lean code. fix the intake gaskets and your problems will most likely go away
