I'm new to the Forum so please forgive me if this has already been answered in another thread.
My problem is a loud, high pitch hum from the engine. I pulled off the air filter housing, and the noise was then amplified when I put the hose and housing to my ear. This noise only comes about on hot days after the engine has warmed up, but the noise seems unrelated to the cooling fan or any of it's components. The noise seems to come from the air intake area of the engine.
Any ideas??
