Ok so here I am again with more noises than I know what to do with! :D Once I got my misfire issue resolved (turns out it was an entire box of defective spark plugs, probably dropped at the local Schuck's!), I still have a rather nasty sounding noise coming from the passenger side of the engine. The engine sounds like a horrible knocking or slight misfire type, but the engine runs just fine. Being as though i changed the rear tensioner and the noise started soon after that, I'm suspecting the whole timing chain schebang. When i first start the car, there is no bad noise, in fact it sounds healthier than I have ever heard it. Then, once it starts to warm up or if I put it into gear, the noise appears. The noise is intermittent and does NOT appear to increase with RPMs. I am stumped. Does that sound like a rear cassette noise??? Exhaust??? squirrels and gremlins? HELP!!!!
