Engine overheating

I just brought my ford exolor sport 2015 68k on it , I have only put 12 hundred miles in it the oil is dark if not burn and the engine gets hot fast i I don’t know if is because of the twin turbo charge I don’t have an exact temperature reading but the display shows the line right at the middle and I hear a ticking in the engine, it’s my first car so I don’t have much experience I will really appreciate some advice

Not really enough to go by. Oil will not em ally be considerably darker at 1,200 vs being new.

It shouldn’t take very long to warm up. If it doesn’t overheat on the gauge it’s probably fine.

As for the ticking, it’s anyones guess.
