Just had an A/C recharge and now the truck is overheating
I haven’t used the heat because I’m in florida and it’s 1000* f*in degrees out but I tried it and I’m getting 0 heat.

1) the oil psi gauge is rapidly erratic.
2)nasty hissing after the car turns off
3) there’s smoke coming from the engine (I assume is old oil getting burned off the manifold)

New radiator/thermostat and housing.

I’m going to try and “burp it” or do an entire flush and fill of the coolant system and see what that does but I’m dreading that it’s actually the head gasket.
Any thoughts? Tips? Ideas?

Thank you

If you hear "hissing" after the car is turned "off", I would say you have a coolant leak somewhere. This also applies to the "smoke" you see, may not actually be "smoke", but water vapor from the possible coolant leak you may have, refer back to "hissing" sound. Next time you hear that "hissing" sound, get a flashlight and follow the sound with your ears and look for where it is coming from, if you hearing is good enough.

Yeah it ended up being the hose going into the thermostat.
