Last Nite I went to the local drag strip to race my mustang that pull with my X...well this yr they incorperated a new class called "Bone Stock Truck" so Decided to have some fun and run my tow vehicle.....So I raced my ex on 3 passes of open time shots and was quiet pleased actually 16.195 @ 85.65 mph....was my best....but then The first round came and The guy redlighted So I got a free pass....and I decided to keep on it and go catch him...well about 1/8 mile it just shut off! Oil pressure was fine....didnt break anything...it just shut off...and I freaked....thenI calmed down while coasting through the 1/4 mile mark for the win...and I put it in nuetral and It started back up....anyone have any idea what would have caused this....I drove it back home with no problems....but it scared me....I have about 96,500 on it! I dont really know what has been changed and what hasnt...I got it at 85k miles...and I have only changed the muffler and added a intake...what Should I look to fix hte problem or a reccomedation of changing? thanks guys!

well I kinda liked drag racing the X-plorer....since it is in a bone stock truck class....and it's only 2wd with a 4.0 SOHC...so I cant take it out muddin...so I might as well have some fun with it!

i know, its just an expression with all the wheeling guys...you dont ever wheel (in your case drag) the tow rig...its gotta get you home ;)

Oh well, it seems to be working now...but take it as a lesson i guess.
