I seriously doubt it. Can't be certain but i'd give it nearly no chance.

I'd probably bet 500 bucks you can't.

A 3.0 is way undersized for an Explorer. You'd be able to run faster than it would go.

What is a 3.0? Gas inline 4? Turbo diesel?

Well i wonted to put the 3.+ in it and have it re geared

An Explorer is just plain too hevy for a 3.0 V6. Gearing is not going to make up for it.

People are putting the 4.0 in Rangers to gain power & torque.

The 4.0 OHV is slow as a turd, why would you want an even slower 3.0?? Unless you're looking to make the world's slowest SUV w/o engine problems.

Also the 4.0's were an option on the ranger so swapping to it is a bit easier.

I own 4.0 ohv in my sport. I also have a traction lok rear diff. It aint no slow turd. It will burn the tires if i let it. I even got pulled over for it once. Ive launched on turbo dodges and beat them too.
I also own a 4.0 sohc in the new sport. Definatly quick. But with the auto awd feature the launch is a bit different. More like the powerband on my dirtbike.
Dont put a 3.slow in your truck. If your gonna do an engine swap, do the explorer 5.0.
Make it worth it.
