here is my delima....i think i blew the head gasket on my 91 explorer..the guy at autozone suggested a product called K&W head sealer and said if this didnt fix my problem i would have to replace the gasket....well....i used the stuff and i have stopped smoking and it runs alot better...BUT...i am getting water mixing with my oil...in 2 oil changes i have almost filled a 5 gallon bucket with the water and oil mixture..im confused as to where this would be coming in from and since i dont have alot of engine knowledge im kinda just doing what i can without taking it somewhere and costing me a lot of money..and since im doing the work myself...im not afraid to try something unless it gets too difficult and i will end up breaking something important..
also..1 last thing...how hard is it to change the pads and rotors...i have done it to my wifes car but someone said it is way different with a truck...

any help will be useful
thanks Ron

Try Steel Seal, (steelseal.com) I have heard nothing but good things about it. I have not tried it myself, but know a few people who have and it stopped the leak completely.

will this help stop the water from getting in the oil....thats my biggest concern right now..thanks

I've heard it will seal a crack in the cylinder head up to 1/4 inch including the gasket.
Check out their web site as it has a lot of good information including the directions.

Don't screw around with snake oil addatives. They can cause more problems than the they solve. Coolant in your oil will kill your bearings and rings within miles. I did head gaskets for the first time on this past spring, and was able to complete the job with superb results.

Both high pressure coolant, oil, and the cylinders themselves pass through the head gasket.

Check out my thread on the project here: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108712
