Enviromental Controls----AC coming on ?

Hi Guys/Gals,

Not sure when this started or even if it is normal but I think not.

When I select "Defrost and Lower" heat or just "Defrost" my air conditioner clutch engages and will run indefinitely. The heat selector is at the highest in both cases.

Any idea's here?

Doesn't make sense to to have the AC compressor working when it is not needed. Total waste of HP.
