Erg valve body

Erg 5r55e valve body being a pain in the butt to reinstall got a couple questions does the reverse servo protection plate need to go back on? the pain in the butt bolts thread in just fine except the last one. Just curious and venting

Whelp got it reinstalled. But transmission took a dumb now I have 5 neutrals.

UPDATE!!! After dropping the pan and valve body slightly. I now have reverse engaging not being able to move in it though. Drive which can be moved in just not happily and the two other forward gears. Any thoughts dipstick reads full. I'll have to look tomorrow when the fluid settles.

Lol yes thats what I meant by the other two forward gears sorry. Yup she goes into them just fine, just no reverse at the moment and slippery drive

luckily that stilk sound like vb thing. lots of threads on it!

5R55E No Reverse or Drive.

1997 Explorer high miles, Had problems, replaced complete VB with solenoids last spring with boost valve and ford TBS 10-22-?? with new sep plate. Fixed the problem I was having and ran fine until a few days ago. It sat for a few days in the cold like 20 degrees or so. All I have now is manual 1...

Okay I have some questions this valve body does not seem to engage I'm gears near as firm as the stock one. Feels absolutely sloppy compared to the stock one. Almost to where I don't feel the low gear even though it is there.

Replaced the separator plate maybe I need a new bottom gasket. The one underneath the separator plate.
