Euro Tail lights

No, they wont fit.. do a search on this topic.. this has been covered many many times before.

it has to do with the curve in the 98+ rear hatch. if u put 98+ tails on your car your tailgate wont close.

Yeah I just searched but unsucessfully..Are you 100 percent positive? I dont doubt you guys know your ****, I know plenty about cars but I wasnt sure if these would fit, and when I search on ebay for euros for 97 there are NONE so i figured these might fit, or I could find a way to get them to

I promise you they do not fit.. period.. and u cant make them fit.. unless u buy the rear hatch for a 98+ and put that on.
They make tails for 95-97 explorers.. they are not sold on ebay as frequently as 98+ plus ones are however.
There are several online stores that sell em tho.

Anabolic is 100% corerect. they might fit but will leave a huge gap between the lens and the tailgate...ugly. the 95-97's aren't on ebay that much because they only came out a couple of months ago and are still expensive. they are more than $200. whereas the 98-01's are going for less than $100 on ebay.

The 98-01 DO FIT on 95-97 and I'm pretty sure the hatch will close. they will just stick out a little bit. I think if you could somehow file down the edges or something so that they blended in, it wouldn't look too bad. As a fellow 95-97 owner who wants different tail lights, I borrowed an idea from Expo 5.0 and tinted the yellow turn signal part red, it looks very nice, and much cheaper then $200 euros =P

Funny thing- I just saw a 95-97 X with 98+ altezzas. From the back all you see that is wrong is the square gap up on top. That gap is small but it sticks out like a sore thumb. I never got a good look of it side view and didn't see if it sticked out like the picture above. With that ugly gap alone, I wouldn't consider getting one.
