evap canister vent valve

i just got the call back from the dealer saying my evap canister vent valve is stuck and causing my CEL code for evap large evap leak...they quoted me $296 for repairs and diag which was $90. does anyone know where this valve is? im thinking its up under the tank but not sure. im going to check and see if i can get the valve ordered and fix it myself.

alwsome i ordered it from my o' reillys store this morning being i work there part time and get a discount. but where is it located at up under the gas tank?

Drop the spare tire, three bolts and hoses to remove.
Use disposable gloves and glasses, years of grime there. GL

Thanks for all the help, I am getting a code P1451 for evap vent valve solenoid circuit problem for either the wiring or the valve itself.

Reviving an old thread. Thanks for the usefuel info to locate the vent valve. The mice got to mine and the wires. Does anyone know if my vent valve is beyond repair. I could goop up the hole. Local parts store wants over $100 for one. Exceeds the book value of the truck
