My 01 Sport is having Evap issues, the previous owner must of hit something hard and it damaged the tank. This raised the tank and damaged the EVAP lines coming out of the tank. The connectors are broken.
My mechanic said there are three lines, one for fuel, two for evap, the two EVAP lines are off and not connected.
I called ford, they gave me the part # of 1L-9L291-DA, or just 9L291, but they are not available anymore. How do I fix/repair this to fix the EVAP system?
I have not been able to find diagrams either if anyone has them, my mechanic is going to try and find a solution this week.
Any chances of finding the part somewhere or how do you fix this? I read it does mess with the operation of the vehicle and I just did SMOG but will probably not pass with the issues again next time.. trying to find I have 3-4 CEL codes and a P1000 error.
