About 3 days ago I went to start it and it barely turned over. It was at about 400 RPM for 2 or 3 seconds and died. When I cranked it again it started right up. The rest of that day it started fine. The next mourning the same thing happend, then it started fine all day. It only seems to do it the first start of the day ( as it did today). I have 170,000 miles. Any help would be appreciated.

Since it starts up a bit then dies, it's probably not electrical or related to the starter. Maybe the fuel pump has a little trouble building pressure when really "cold".

On mt '99 SOHC there is a Schrader valve that you simply hook the FP test gauge to.

Good luck....
