I am trying to find an adaptor or a collector for the exhaust off of the headers on a 93 explorer sport. Most headers come together in circle which is easy to find collectors for, but it seems fords headers are coming together in an oval shape. I cant seem to find any type of collector for it anywhere. I am trying to build a custom exhaust but I need a collector from the headers that goes to a 2 1/2" round pipe. Does anyone know if there is such a thing???? Or am I going to have to cut and weld on a pipe to the headers???? Any info would be appreciated thanks!!!

The only way to get what you are after is to cut the flange off the old cat and make yourself a collector.

Well, thanks for the info!!! I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that but, I guess I 'm gonna have to......

Yup, the cat half of the collector flange is the only stock part on my exhaust :D

Well i finally got to my exhaust and decided to customize it myself. I cut of the collector from my old cat that was junk and used it for the new straight pipe. I had to do a little forming and bending of the collector to make it round instead of oval but it came out pretty good. Now that I have that all done I think I am going to put on a 40 sereis delta flowmaster to make it sound good. I put a picture of eveything here incase anyone else wants to do the same.;)
