i drive a '94 navajo

everything from behind the muffler to the end of the exhaust is rusted apart from each other. as its running it rattles since everything behind the muffler is so loose and apart. i dont want to cut the hangers so what do i do to get the exhaust off without cutting them.

You mean the hangers that are on the body or the hangers that are on the exhaust?

Easiest way to get the exhaust off is just slicing the rear pipe at or near the rear of the muffler, then disconnect the rear swaybar endlink at the frame (after first removing the spare tire, of course), which lets you twist the rear pipe off it's hanger. The cat-to-muffler pipe and muffler just slide sideways off the front hanger once you have the spring-loaded bolts behind the cat off.

Do you already have a new exhaust system ready to bolt on? I'd suggest the Dynomax Super Turbo kit if not. You can get the one for the 91-92 Explorer 2 door and make it fit, or get the kit for the 93-94 4 door and get the intermediate pipe for a 93-94 2 door which makes it a bolt-on for the Navajo. For some reason, Dynomax doesn't make a kit for the Navajo or 93-94 2 doors.

The Dynomax kit also has a $75 rebate, so if you get it for just over $100 whether it's online or at a parts store, it's quite a deal.

they are the hangers that hold the exhaust tailpipe in place they connect to the frame

im going to try to order the dynomax super turbo exhaust system with the rebate :)

You can get the rubber to slide off the body side if you use WD-40 on there.

Pull the rubber away from the end, spray wd-40 on the hanger, and near the tip of it. Then slide the rubber right off. Works EVERY TIME.
