Exhaust Manifold Studs - Dorman 03411

Thought I'd throw this out there, since no company lists replacement studs specifically for our 4.0L (and to remind me when I need them again).

Dorman 03411, which are only marketed for Ford 4.6L/5.4L/6.8L, are exact replacements for our 4.0L.

Pairs well with Permatex Nickel Anti-Seize.

Might as well post some pics of one of my projects while I'm at it. My Dual Flowmaster 40's Rusted out & fell apart. They were too loud on the highway anyway.

I used VHT FlameProof Flat Grey spray can paint (SP104) without primer. That's a Flowmaster 50-SUV 2.25" dual-in, dual-out 524554. I used flex pipe to finish out the back. No welding was required. I didn't mess with the driver's side manifold, since that pipe that goes into it was seized in pretty bad - didn't want to fix what wasn't broken.

I already had the muffler so the whole thing cost me couch change and it felt like I was installing a brand new aftermarket kit! I did this a few months ago, the paint on the header is still perfect. I followed the instructions for the on-vehicle baking.

Nice looking exhaust system. Those SS clamps are
better than sliced bread. They hold well yet allow
for easy muffler and pipe changes.

Will SOHC headers fit an OHV head?

I have yet to find any with that Zinc coating on them. I think its zinc.

Is “our 4.0L” the SOHC or the OHV? Or is there no difference in the manifold studs?

Does anyone know if the OHV 4.0l use the same exhaust manifold studs as the SOHC?

My studs are:

M8 1.25
1.9 inches/49mm

The side that screws into the head is 1/2 inch/13 mm.

The shallowest hole on the head is .65 inch/16.45mm.

None of the exhaust manifold bolts I find on Amazon list the lengths.

Any suggestions?
