Exhaust question…

I want to put a Cherry Bomb on my truck, will this lower my back pressure to much? I still have the Cats on the truck. I’m just trying to squeeze some better gas mileage out of her. If anyone has any other suggestions as to how to get better gas mileage out of the X, I’m all ears.

I have a K&N, and modified air box. This is the only thing engine wise that I have done (other than regular maintenance).

You're better off getting a good muffler and new tailpipe. A cherrybomb will sound pretty bad IMO and they can fail quickly.

I recommend a Magnaflow muffler, aftermarket resonator, then a 2.5" tailpipe.

How much do the magna flow's run? any idea?

My MagnaFlow custom cat-back setup was $280 I think. That was 3" tubing though. I think the actual muffler was around $100. I think.

I concur. I wouldn't go with the cherry bomb. You won't be happy.
