exhaust question

what is the stock piping of the exhaust on a 01 sport sohc 4.0?i am deleting the rear cat and am going to weld in a pipe but need to know what pipe would be a good selection?im guessing it needs to fit over top of the other pipe to make it able to weld. i am looking at doing this fairly soon like tommarow so if anyone can help me that would be greatly appreciated!

i got single in and dual out 40 series flowmasters and they are 2 1/2 inch tips

if im not mistaking, the pipe diamater is 2 1/4 inch, when i did mine, I got a shop to expand the ends of the pipe so it could slide over the existing pipe before welding it togeather
