Exhaust Question

I have an '01 5.0 with a modified Flowmaster 40 series (dual 2.5" inlet/ single 3" outlet) with a 3" pipe and turndown right in front of the rear axle. It sounds pretty good, but I would like it to be just a little louder. Would removing the second set of converters make it any louder? Thanks in advance for any info.
