98 ford explorer
We replaced the transmission in my 1998 ford explorer and somehow lost the the front exhuast pipe along with the catalytic converter. I had one installed at a local muffler shoop but, I think it is to close to the transmission pan. Any have a photo of how the front exhuast pipes are fitted ?

how clsoe is it, the exhause is only about 2-3" away

Welcome to the forum! Hopefully you can get that figured out!

The catalytic conveter is directly under the transmisson pan about 2" of clearance. The eddibauer exhaust systems on the V6 is different than the xlt's and other models. I think the placement is wrong becasue i would need to remove the pipe with the catalytic converter before I could remove the transmission pan.

if it dosent hit anything and dosent burn anything and most of all if it sounds good your good to go (=

Thanks, I will drive with it as it is.

Thats how our good friends at Ford built it. At least your exhaust wont be rusted on now like everybody elses, and when you change your tranny fluid it will cut about 75% of the work out of it. You should be happy....
