hi guys explorer 2008 xlt 4.0 have engine stalling problem while idle.
garage people get many codes but they say we need to reset the codes then drive the car and the check again for the codes.

the problem is they unable to reset the codes. they say while trying to delete the codes it take long time and unable to reset the pcm.

any suggestion for clearing the codes.
any suggestion on engine stalling.

thank u.

Seems like their scanning device is malfunctioning if it can't clear the codes. I have a $20 wifi OBD2 scanner (Plugs into the same port their device does) and connects to my iPhone/iPad and I can read/clear codes just fine.

Im not familiar with Dubai, do you have any automotive stores like we do in the U.S. like AutoZone, or Advance Auto Parts? They all have scanners that should be able to reset your codes. Or even a Ford Dealer, or a different mechanics shop.

thanks for reply

they manage to clear the codes.

again now their is codes 9 .

4 of oxygen sensors and egr valve and some others.

today morning they simply unplug the oxygen sensors and test the car at idle for about 1 hour and we drive the care for about 30 mins.

the car wont stall but when we enter the garage its stall also when we are testing the vehicle on road in between the AC stop working throwing hot air.
