That's like transplanting a dog heart into your mother.

It can be done. Your going to need a body lift & may need a taller hood I have read. I think there was someone that did it way back. I remember reading about it, or maybe he started to do it & dropped the project. I think it's easier to bore out a 302.

A 351W will fit a lot easier and can crank out more horsepower and torque. The aftermarket support isn't as enormous and easily accessible, but the stuff is out there. It just requires a little more than picking things off the Summit website.

Actually, it IS as easy as picking stuff out of the Summit Catalog....just check over at SBFTech.com or corral.net and see what people are running and just copy one of those builds...and order it up. You just won't find a timing chain cover, or valve covers on the shelf at your local parts store next to the Ricer accessories...

In building the parts list for my 351 in my '69 Cougar, I've had to look to sources outside Summit, but then again, the build I'm basing mine off of is a $14,000 build. I'm trying to land somewhere less than that in $$$ and power. Summit is a great company, though. It just seems that the support for 350s is so much greater than the 351 and parts are often cheaper.
